☀️📦 SUMMER SHIPPING FAQ — The Twinning Candle Co.
☀️ Summer Shipping FAQ
Will my candles or wax melts melt during shipping?
Wax products can soften, warp, or melt when exposed to high temperatures. While we take extra precautions during the summer months, we cannot guarantee that wax will arrive completely unmelted.
Once your package leaves our hands, we cannot control outdoor temperatures, delivery trucks, warehouses, carrier delays, or how long a package may sit outside.
How do you protect orders during hot weather?
During periods of extreme heat, we may use additional protective measures depending on the products in your order, your destination, and current weather conditions.
These may include:
- 🧊 Dry ice
- 📦 Insulated poly mailers
- Additional protective packaging
- Strategically timing shipments around extreme weather when possible
These measures are intended to reduce the risk of melting, but they are not a guarantee against it.
Does every summer order receive dry ice?
No. We determine the best shipping method based on current temperatures, your location, the products ordered, and expected transit conditions.
If temperatures are especially high, we may add additional temperature protection when appropriate.
Is dry ice a guarantee that my order won’t melt?
No.
Dry ice can help keep your package colder during transit, but extreme temperatures, lengthy transit times, carrier delays, and packages being left outside can still affect wax products.
We want to be transparent rather than promise something we can’t control.
Will summer shipping cost more?
Additional protective materials may increase our packaging costs. We do our best to keep these costs reasonable while still taking appropriate precautions to protect your order.
If additional shipping or protection costs apply to your order, we will communicate that with you when necessary.
When do you ship during the summer?
We monitor weather conditions and, when possible, strategically plan shipments around extreme heat, weekends, and major weather events.
However, carrier schedules and transit times are ultimately outside of our control once your package has been shipped.
What should I do when my package arrives?
Bring your package inside as soon as possible.
Please do not leave your package:
- In direct sunlight
- On a hot porch
- Inside a hot vehicle
- Outside for extended periods
If you know you won’t be home, we recommend making arrangements for someone to bring your package inside after delivery.
What if my candle or wax melt arrives soft or melted?
Don’t panic! 🫶🏽
Wax that arrives soft or partially melted may still be perfectly usable. Allow the product to cool completely and return to room temperature before handling or using it.
Depending on the product, some temporary changes in appearance may occur after melting and re-solidifying. This does not necessarily mean the product is unusable.
What if my order arrives damaged or unusable?
If your order arrives damaged beyond use, please contact us as soon as possible and include clear photos of the product and packaging so we can assess the situation and determine the best way to help.
What is TheTwinningCandleCo.’s responsibility during summer shipping?
We are responsible for carefully making and packaging your order and taking reasonable precautions based on weather conditions before it leaves our hands.
Once the package has been accepted by the shipping carrier, we cannot control the temperature, handling, delays, or delivery conditions.
We will always do our best to help when something goes wrong — we just want to be upfront about what we can and cannot control.
☀️ A quick reminder
